My Olde Dawg..

Perhaps it is that I, myself, am no longer a spring chicken, but I feel a real tenderness toward people exhibiting   kindness and patience with their (obviously) older dog(s).

Recently, Ace and I have developed a new rhythm.  I noticed he was tipping his head up sideways, rather stretching his neck.   Occasionally, he rubs his chin on the floor.  Clearly, it's an itch, and age has compromised his agility so that drawing his hind leg up to scratch must be very uncomfortable.

Now, without words, when I see Ace stretch his neck in that fashion, I simply extend my hands and he comes to me; and, I hope that I am able to scratch that itch in a way that satisfies My Olde Dawg.
